The three artists that inspired my works are Rob Renoylds-whose watercolor paintings depict essential historical landmarks, Brittiany App, who has captured the effects of California's drought on the landscape; and Zaria Forman, who creates stunning pastel works utilizing beautiful textiles. These are artists who use water as a medium, forcing the viewer to rethink how they engage with water as a texture.

My portfolio consists of four works that all utilize the texture of the water in diverse ways. My goal is to evoke the viewer's emotive response using different textures, colors, shadows, and contrast. Water has various meanings, so it is up to viewers to interpret the importance of the works that are unique to them.
